We are always adding parts all the time to the site. We do not stock a "full" catalog of Case Ingersoll parts as we do not currently have the facilities to warehouse every Case Ingersoll part in our physical inventory. Though we have a lot of parts in stock and ship 6 days a week to US and Canada. BUT we can have many, many current and older stock parts available in 2 or 3 days most times. So be sure to ask us for what parts you need that are not listed on our site **PLEASE NOTE WHEN SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES ARE PRESENT WE MAY SUBSTITUTE PARTS OF THE BEST POSSIBLE QUALITY WE CAN (SOMETIMES BETTER THEN OEM) WE ONLY DO THIS WHEN WE HAVE TO, AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DO SO. EITHER WE DO THIS OR THE OTHER OPTION IS TO NOT OFFER THE PARTS FOR SALE. SO WE DO THE BEST WE CAN TO KEEP YOU UP AND RUNNING AND TRY TO KEEP THE PRICE FAIR AS WELL. THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.** Parts are only a piece of our business along with service and sales of equipment. Our pricing policy is simple some times we may not be the lowest-priced option for a few reasons. BUT..... ONE The garden tractor and more specifically the Case Ingersoll community is small. We do not see anyone as or want to be in "competition" with anyone. To the point, we are friends with many of the other dealers and distributors. We choose to get our parts from multiple other Case Ingersoll dealers and distributors intentionally to help support them and keep our community strong and keep them going too . As we move a very large volume of parts, we sometimes also buy directly from the source and or manufactures. So when you buy from us you are also buying and helping support the other multiple other dealers/distributors out there! We are not out here to take business away but the opposite as our hope is this website will bring in new customers for both us and those we buy parts from and expose many more to the Case Ingersoll brand! TWO You will also notice that we do offer some single small parts, but we put together many full and complete kits to make it simple for the customer to do a job completely without having to worry about "if they found and ordered ALL the correct parts they need." We did the hard work of looking up all the part numbers, installing them to make sure they are complete and work first, then offer them in a kit that is basically click, pay and get a box of everything you should need for a job. These kits we put together and offer are the same ones we use in our shop and now offer these kits to you. Most are not available as kits anywhere else. THREE We have figured that we spend on average 10 to 15 hours a week or more helping people with issues with their tractors. Either on FaceBook groups/posts/private messages, Forums, Emails, and many phone calls. Every minute we are doing this it is taking time away from us making money working on customers' machines or getting orders out as well as many after work hours communications taking away family time. This IS A LOT of time that we are not getting paid for. We know that many people would not work 1 hour a week let alone 15 or more and not get paid for it. So, we would hope that those we help doing this, would support us and they appreciate the help, advice, and money we save them by trouble shooting and giving advice. And that they would buy the parts and supplies from us and that the little higher cost for some parts far offsets the help we provide and money we save them. And the value people get from our You Tube how to, trouble shooting, install and all other videos we produce is considered when choosing who you do business with. As well as with our suburb reputation for not only our before, but our after "the sale" customer service. When advice, install questions or any issues arise we are here for "our customers" many times, even after hours we try to respond to those in need as often as we can and hope all see the great value in this! FOUR Parts are only a part of our business model and you will notice we do not list many smaller parts, one reason for this is we are a small business with only 1 to 2 people here so for us to carry the overhead, pull and ship small orders it is not practical or cost-effective for us to do so at this time. So this is why we do not offer a full catalog of parts on the website and offer what we do on the site. But if you have multiple parts not on our site or more expensive parts you need not on site we are happy to get them for you as we have access to all available new Case Ingersoll parts as well as many used & some no longer available parts. PRICE SHOPPING With all the above mentioned realize if you are trying to find the very lowest price all the time we might not be it, realize it takes us time to look up parts prices and availability as most times we have to make calls as in today's world prices can literally change weekly so please consider this and our pricing policies when asking for parts prices and availability of those not listed on our sites we kindly ask you to be serous in following through with your purchase from us please. Thank You we appreciate any and all business and support.
- Orginal Brochures | Case Ingersoll Tract
Original Case Ingersoll Brochures Throughout our travels and adventures, we have been lucky enough to acquire some original paper work with some of the tractors we have purchased, auctions and some on the web. We wanted to share some of these great advertisements with all of you. A piece of history that is just too cool not to keep alive and appreciate.
- Tractor Models | Case Ingersoll Tract
Case Ingersoll Tractor Models There are several different series of tractors that Case Ingersoll offered over the years. Below is a quick summary of some of the different ones offered and some details about each series, these were and are some of the most popular series. CLICK ON PHOTOS OF EACH SERIES TO GO TO SPECIFIC MODELS WITHIN THAT SERIES. You will see in small text after clicking photo "Go To Link" at bottom. Or can go to each series page under Tractor Models "menu." 100's Series Older Models These were the first series that Case released after buying Colt. They had many of the same designs and features as the Colts but also had some Case-based designs as well as styling. They were hydraulic drive and the hydraulic lift was an "option", they were powered by single-cylinder Kohler engines. Some of these models were the 130, 155, 180, 190, 195 Keep scrolling down for more models 100's Series Home Owners The later 100 series like the 108, 110,112,114, and 116 were built to compete with the cheaper-priced competition of Case and Ingersoll. These tractors were more lawn and yard tractors than garden tractors. They were built right and of good quality, as good or better than most others in the class of lawnmowers and yard tractors. But they were far smaller and much lighter duty than their big brothers of the Case Ingersoll 200, 3000, 400, and 4000 series true heavy-duty garden tractors. The 100 had no hydraulics, were belt driven, and used consumer-duty engines. Not commercial or industrial engines like their hydraulic Big Brothers. They were also much cheaper priced than their big brothers and allowed a different customer base to be able to purchase a quality Case Ingersoll product to do basic lawn mowing and snow removal. Here at Case Ingersoll Tractors Northeast we do very little with this product line and concentrate on the bigger heavy-duty models. Keep scrolling down for more models 200 Model Series The 200 series are the Low Profile Case Ingersoll models. They have more common-size rear tires, 12-inch wheels, and 23-inch tires 8.50 or 10.50 wide flotation tires on them compared to the Big Wheel 400/4000 series tractors. The 200 series are all very similar to the Big Wheel (BW) series besides model 210, the 210 is gear-driven not hydraulic. The 200 series rear end is basically the same as the 400/400 series but has a slightly different drive motor ratio and a 5-lug hub whereas the BW tractors have a 6-lug hub. The front axles are a little bit smaller than the BW series but they utilize the same front wheels and tires as the BW series. They also share the same frame as the bigger models but, when the BW series frames got stretched 2 inches the small wheel low profile models remained the same length. Though most attachments are interchangeable between series BW and Small Wheel models besides the 60-inch deck, there were some attachments recommended to be better suited for BW VS SW models for optimal performance but it is noted that the higher horsepower small wheel model will perform satisfactorily with the bigger sized attachments. The 200 series were all powered by the ever-popular Kohler "K" Series engine beside the powerful 226 that boasted the high torque industrial 16 horsepower twin cylinder Onan. Simply the last digit in the tractor model represented the last digit in the horsepower for most models so a 222 was 12 horsepower and a 226 was 16 horsepower etc. For more individual model info and specifics click on the series picture above. Keep scrolling down for more models 400 Model Series The iconic Case-Ingersoll 400 Big Wheel (BW) Series. These may be the most recognized models of any garden tractors by those that know and as well as those not overly familiar with particular garden tractors. With the large 32-inch tall rear tires sitting on standard 16-inch truck/farm implement/tractor 6 lug rims/wheels. The tractor design of the 400 series utilized the same principles and same designs as the bigger Case and many farm tractors, with the much bigger rear tires to help provide exceptional traction and power transfer to the ground. They also have the added benefit of flotation and the ability to go over large obstacles and very rough terrain where many other tractors would have no chance. The large tires also let the BW series have great ground clearance which allows them to excel in the garden or woods doing heavy work. The large rear tires also allowed you to add roughly 70 to 100 lbs PER tire of liquid weight into the tire tubes as they hold around 10 gallons each. They offered a smoother ride as well. And being 16-inch rims there are countless tire options from AG tractor tread tires, turf tires, and very common pickup truck tires and tread options. Now the tire size was distinctive and a huge advantage, but there were many other benefits to the 400 series. One very popular option offered now was that of a power-up and power-down heavy-duty 3-point hitch with large lift capabilities. Three-point hitches can be added to any Case Ingersoll Garden Tractor model and are interchangeable and under an hour to install most times. After 1980 they all were "long frame" models by adding 2 inches to the frame between the seat and dash tower, they were now able to accept a very large and heavy duty 60 inches 5-foot wide mower deck as an option along with the 44 and 48-inch decks always offered. The 400 series also sported a bigger and heavier-duty front axle with large 1-inch spindles. The front axle was cast steel as was the massive 2-speed all-gear steel rear end. These tractors made very good candidates for adding front loaders for those that do not have the budget for purpose-built loaders like the 600/6000/7000 series loader machines. Though many things are in common with the 200 series, these are a few that set them apart. But many parts and build quality are the same between the 200 and 400 series. The 400 series came out in the late 60s early 70s with the 442 and 444PK models being 12 and 14-horsepower single-cylinder Kohler "K" engines... There were some immediate changes in the first few years with the addition of the 16-horsepower twin-cylinder Onan engine in the model 446. The 442 was dropped and the 444 and 446 were the two BW models until 1980 when the big dog flagship 448 was introduced in the year 1980 with a bigger Onan 18 horsepower. Like the 200 series, the 1976 models were the last Desert Sunset Tan and orange two-colored machines. In 77' they went to the all "orange" models that were painted "Case Power Red." In 1984 for 1 year when Ingersoll bought Case, they released the black frame models that had the Power Red hood and fenders. Then they went back to all Power red paint. The basic design of the BW models 444, 446, and 448 continued with very few major changes during their 20-year model run. The 4000 series replaced the 400 series as the Big Wheel models with some changes but carrying over many of the great things the original big wheel 400 series machines were loved and known for. As with all the Case Ingersoll models they offered a much, much bigger and more capable hydraulic pump than any competitors in the same class as well as multiple classes above them, and most compacts and subcompacts of today don't even have hydraulic pumps with the size, specs, and capabilities of Case Ingersoll machines. Most Case Ingersoll machines had hydraulic pumps that were 8.5 to nearly 12 GPM gallons per minute and with PSI pressures of 2000 to nearly 3000 pounds per square inch! Ask your new tractor salesman for the specs and you may realize spending that 10, 20, or $30,000 dollars may not be the best choice! Keep scrolling down for more models 3000 Model Series The 3000 Series replaced the 200 series and the 4000 replaced the 400 series. Many of the changes that were made to the 3000 also happened to the 4000. Wider 10.50-inch rear tires became an option on many 3000 models and seem standard on a few like power steering models and most Onan Powered 3000 models. Also, the Kohler "K" engine was replaced by the Kohler "Magnum" for 10, 12, and 14-horsepower models as they were the lowest horsepower engines now offered in the 3010 (short appearance) 3012 and 3014. The 3016 and 3018 models were originally powered by the powerful Onan 16 and 18 performer horsepower models as was the 3020. Eventually, all the 3000 models would be powered by brings and Stratton Vanguard engines. The 3010 model was dropped very fast and the 3020 was very limited production but was still powered with an Onan engine The major change made in the new 4-digit machines was the engine placement. Now the engine was spun 180 degrees and the flywheel now faced the back of the tractor where it was facing forward in the 3-digit 200/400 models. The reason this was done was that many customers complained about the hot air from the engine being blown back on the operator, especially in the summer. Though many dealt with this as they enjoyed the warm air in the winter doing snow removal chores. And with cab-equipped tractors, the hot air made the cab very cozy. The spinning of the engine placement also changed the direction that the front PTO belt pulley would spin therefore the mower decks became right-hand discharge where three digits were left discharge. Continue on to the 4000 models to see more changes gained with the four digits models. Click on the title picture above for the 3000s to learn more about individual models. Keep scrolling down for more models Power Steering Models The Power steering models shared all the same features as their counterpart 3000 and 4000 series tractors. But they had a strong power steering system, and a larger hydraulic pump, and were all Onan powered until the last 4000 series made with the Big Block 21 and 23 horsepower Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engines. Click on the title picture above for the power steering to learn more about it. Keep scrolling down for more models 4000 Model Series Many of the changes mentioned in the 3000 series description were made to the 4000 too. The early 4-digit models sported "Hydrive" on the hood decals. The Hydrive models of the 3000 and 4000 carried a few things over from the 200/400 series. One was the placement and operation of rear-end Hi/Low range selector, early Hydrives did not have the hydraulic filter as well and the rear hydraulic PTO was still a fender-mounted option. They also still had the shorter steering shaft and lower steering wheel placement. These were just a few things carried over from the 3 digits into the new Hydrive models, but all these were eventually changed and updated and the "Hydrive" badge was dropped. The following changes and improvements were for both 3000 and 4000 models. A few years after the release of the 3000/4000 series all the Kohler engines were replaced by the Briggs and Stratton 2-cylinder V-twin Commercial engines. Eventually, the Vanguard would be used in all models that were 12.5 to 18 horsepower and that were NOT Power Steering or ALL HYDRAULIC "AH" models. The power steering and all hydraulic models remained powered by the big torquey Industrial Onan engines to power the larger hydraulic pump used in these models. In the last few years of the 4000 series being produced, the 21 and 23-horsepower models were powered by the bigger Vanguard version. As US emission laws ultimately ended the production of these great powerful Onan valves in head engines. There were some new safety features including seat switches added. The late 3-digit models had plastic dashboards and indicator lights the last couple of years and that carried over to the 3000/4000 models. The front PTO for belts was now electrically engaged over the old manual lever style. Also, the Hydraulic rear PTO for powering leaf vacs/baggers/roto tillers/chippers/brush mowers, etc now had the option to be concealed under the seat and came with factory quick connects for the hydraulics. Full fenders and a full operator's foot platform were now the design, as was a removable front grill. The heavier-duty HH34 3-point hitch was added as an option for all 3000,4000, 6000, and 7000 series machines. A spin on the hydraulic filter was added after the first couple of years of the four-digit machines. The rear tail lights came in time as well. Power steering was soon to be an option on many models and this included a bigger hydraulic pump as well. As was an optional lower geared high range rear end that was used standard only on the loader models previously. These machines were and still are considered some of the most capable best built machines in their class and a class or two bigger! There were only a true handful of competitor models that could come close to the quality and performance of these machines. Click on the title picture above for the 4000s to learn more about individual models. Keep scrolling down for more models 3021/4021-4023/4200 GT Models These "GT" series black frame models were the last models produced by Ingersoll and the last models were made in Maine USA. They shared very many things with the 4000/4100 series. But some major differences were foot controls for direction and speed on the 4200 models and bigger Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engines used in 21 and 23-horsepower models. Click on the title picture above for the GTs to learn more about individual models. Keep scrolling down for more models 3100/4100 Model Series All hydraulic models (AH) 3100/4100 series machines were very similar to their counterpart 3000 and 4000 models but with really 1 major difference. They had a very large hydraulic pump. All the attachments were hydro-powered, with no belts. Mower decks, snow blowers, etc were hydro-powered, and the normally hydraulic-powered attachments offered for other models were out-fitted with different motors, gearing, and pulleys to be offered and take advantage of the bigger 2-stage dual piggyback style hydraulic pump used on the AH models. All AH models came standard with power steering and Onan engines. The 3118D and 4118D were powered by 3-cylinder Perkins Diesel engines and were the only Diesel engine Case Ingersoll models, there were not very many produced. All AH models had No belt PTO on these machines and a bigger hydraulic oil cooler was mounted up front. There was a short run of 4116 that were 16 horsepower but with the bigger hydro pump, the 18-horse 3118/4118 and 20-horse 4120 models were a better fit. These machines were only produced for a few years. They are very strong and capable machines, and the notable increase in hydropower is a factor their owners brag about and enjoy. With many, there is a love-hate relationship with them. The downside is being only made for a few years SOME parts are harder to get but the biggest complaint is finding attachments for these specific models with the correct hydraulic drive motors or pulley/gearing setup. With that, used attachment parts and repair parts are not easy to find. We tell customers all this upfront, many are ok with the challenge, we also tell them since more hydraulics there will be likely more repairs/leaks to deal with. With that said if you are ok with that then by all means they are great machines. The other need these fill wonderfully are those looking to push and pull with a tractor, perfect for dirt, garden, driveway, grading, pushing, etc. They also are great for snow plowing as well as firewood log skidding and other similar jobs! Click on the title picture above for the 3100/4100s to learn more about individual models. Keep scrolling down for more models 6000 Model Series 6000 series loaders and backhoes replaced the 648 loaders and backhoes. They shared many similarities with the 648 models. Some changes made along the 6000 series were a big tandem hydraulic pump, a larger front bucket, and a higher lift rating of 750 lbs at full height. 6.4-gallon fuel tank, 5-gallon hydro fluid capacity, 48-inch bucket, and 29x12.5-15 rear tires were some. Three engines were used in the 6018 (18 horsepower) -6020 (20 horsepower). The Big industrial twin Onan, Twin cylinder Kohler "Command" and Optional Honda. A quick attach front attachment system can be found on some machines as well to switch quickly between the bucket, forks, and other attachments. Like the 600 series, these machines were no light weights with loaders weighing around 1500 lbs or more and backhoes around 3000 lbs or more! With the specs of Case Ingersoll loaders they and we have to ask "John Deere, Kubota, Massey who?" Click on the title picture above for the 6000s to learn more about individual models. Keep scrolling down for more models 600's Model Series The true mini-construction machines! These were not garden tractors or what's called today subcompact/compact tractors. These were very heavy-duty, very capable true commercial construction duty purpose-built earth moving machines. The loader frame is built right into the large farm of the machine. The same company that built the famous full-size Case construction equipment like the industry-respected Case 580 backhoes designed and built these machines. These machines had a foot pedal for travel speed like a "gas" pedal. As per the Case Ingersoll norm, they sported very large and capable hydraulic pumps. Though similar in looks to the garden tractor line there were only some of the same parts used between them. One is the very strong rear end that speaks of its durability and capabilities as the standard rear used in both the garden and loader series! The main hydraulic valve is similar as are some of the hydraulic pumps used between the garden tractors and loaders. The frame and front axle are bigger on the loaders and they have a little bigger footprint. The other thing they share were power plants. The 644 housed the 14-horsepower Kohler K series Single cylinder engine. The 646 boasted a 16 horsepower twin-cylinder Onan most were a cast Iron CCK model and some were Onan B Series powered. The 644 and 646 were replaced by the sought-after 648 18-horsepower with the Onan under the hood. The 648 also had power steering that is a life changer on a loader/backhoe machine. There were also some other changes with the 648 like the wider floatation front tires, and lower geared high gear was a couple. The loader models had a 44-inch nearly 4 cubic foot front bucket or very handy optional pallet forks. Backhoe-equipped 646 and 648 models were available with a full-size construction D100 model backhoe and outriggers. The same backhoe model is used on many skid steers, small full-size backhoe models, industrial tractors, etc. With the backhoe package wider rims and tires were used as well as longer axles to ad stabilization and floatation. A full underbelly subframe and counterweight system were also added to the backhoe machines and the rear end case had webbed gussets added to it for strength. The loaders and backhoe were amazing in their capability—so impressive specs for some of the 600 series. Lifting is rated at 650lbs at full height, though they have been known to lift much more with proper counterweight (but not advised to vary from OEM recommendations) breaking out force of almost 1500 lbs! The maximum total height is just under 8 feet. The backhoe had almost an 8-foot digging depth and over a 9-foot swing. Backhoe buckets are available from 12 to 36 inches! With these being "mini" construction machines they also could be towed by a common pick up making for easy access to jobs, low investment in trucks and trailers, and also great for those starting small companies. With much less initial investment in equipment, they could do similar small jobs as small, loaders/backhoes/skid steers/mini excavators, and charge nearly the same and have a profit advantage over those bigger more expensive machines to buy, make payments, buy fuel and maintenance repair work they come with. Now you can see why municipalities, cemeteries, septic, construction, landscape, snow removal, pool, farm, golf courses, rental, nursery warehouses, entrepreneurs, and many other businesses used these machines heavily. Click on the title picture above for the 600 series to learn more about individual models. Keep scrolling down for more models 7000 Model Series The dreamed-about 7020 was a four-wheel drive version of the 6018/6020. The 7020 had a hydraulic-powered front drive axle to take your loader or backhoe to places where many can not go. Soft ground, muddy ground, sand, snow, steeper hills, etc. The capabilities and badass look of the 7020 make it a favorite of anyone who sees and or used them! Keep scrolling down for more models

- Why Case Ingersoll | Case Ingersoll Tract
Why Choose Case Ingersoll Some Background and More Understanding of the Case Ingersoll Brand and Tractor Model Differences We often talk to many potential tractor owners who do not know much about these commercial garden tractors. We commonly get asked, why Case Ingersoll? What sets them apart from other tractors? We wanted to take a minute to share what is so great about these tractors in particular and what DOES set them apart. Be sure to look for our video "Why Case Ingersoll Garden Tractors" We will link that video here when it comes out. What to look for when first buying - CLICK HERE When you first get your tractor home- CLICK HERE Case Ingersoll Info & Advantages! There are many reasons and advantages Case Ingersoll garden tractors are the best choice for many people as well as businesses and have been for now over 50 years. Even though Ingersoll closed around 2015, the tractors made from the late 60s until closing are still a superior choice for many today. New tractors may no longer be rolling off the line but most parts are still being made and are available new today. Also, there is a large selection of New and Old Stock Inventory from previous and current Case Ingersoll tractors and parts dealers as well as collectors. On top of that, many common-size parts work with these USA-made machines such as common bearing sizes, shafts, hardware, and misc items. Along with the added benefit of many skilled collectors, craftsmen, and companies offering custom, upgraded, and or repopulated parts for these commercial-duty garden tractors. Before Zero Turns and walk-behind mowers were very popular, Case Ingersoll tractors are what would be found not only in many homes but also in small businesses and landscapers. They were the go-to for many municipalities, towns, states, schools, hospitals, churches, hobby farms, and so on. They were built to last with American steel, materials, and handmade skilled and proud labor. They believed so much in their product that they were sold new with a "Life Time" warranty and marketed as the only tractor you will ever need to buy! And unlike most marketing this was true! So true that it ultimately would lead to the downfall of the company over the years. Because, though many repeat buyers purchased the newest model every so many years or upgraded to a bigger Case Ingersoll or added many attachments and options over the years, it was a want, not a need. Most of the competition building tractors with a 3-5 or maybe 10-year workable average lifespan before replacement or major overhaul. The Case Ingersolls were built so well that for most owners they were just getting "broken in" at 5 or 10 years and ready to go another 10 or 20 or more! So, the need for owners to keep replacing them was not there... From an integrity standpoint, the company was admirable in the way they did things and the way it should be done, but from a profit standpoint not so much. This also was the reason these top quality machines were priced very high as you got what you paid for and it would last, they are put together with best quality materials. During the decades these tractors and attachments cost as much as a new smaller car of the time. They were an investment and it shows as in many areas they hold their value far better than any other garden tractor or subcompact out there. So now, some advantages C/I tractors have over the "competition"......... Let's just have Case Ingersoll tell you, have a look below at some of their marketing literature over the decades! Click on some of the pictures below. The following section, below the brochures, highlights some changes in Case Ingersolls over the years.

- 3000 Series | Case Ingersoll Tract
Meet The Low Profile Small Wheel Team 3000 Series The Baby of the small guys INGERSOLL 3010 The 3010 replaced the 220 and was powered by a 10-horsepower Kohler 1-cylinder engine. Though it was only produced for roughly a year it is thought that they had 10 horsepower engines in inventory to use up. It's said some had the "K" Series and some had the upgraded "Magnum" series engines. We have never had one here in person as they are not a common model. The market Ingersoll was intending to target at this time, there were no buyers wanting 10 horsepower machines. Though back in the day 10 horsepower was standard for working machines. But, in the 90's it was considered low and made for a hard machine to market for the price of these high-quality high-end machines. The 3010 was recommended to be used with a 38-inch mower, 38-inch snow blower, and 44-inch plow blade. GOOD ENTRY MODEL GARDEN TRACTOR INGERSOLL 3012 The 3012 had a lot in common with the 3010, it was powered by the single-cylinder 12 horsepower Kohler "Magnum" early on and was switched to the new Briggs & Stratton "Vanguard" V-Twin cylinder 12.5 horsepower. The 3012 stuck around a few years longer than the 3010 but was cut from the model line for basically the same reasons the 3010 did not sell well in the current market for the times. Though most 3000 series models were basically all the same besides the engine and engine horsepower, it was very clear the market wanted big power machines no matter in lawnmowers, farm tractors, cars, trucks, semis, etc. the "horsepower war of progression" is constantly going on. Don't you know bigger is better! The 3012 was recommended to be used with a 38-inch mower though would run a 44-inch deck. The 38-inch snow blower and 44-inch plow blade were nice fits. THE MIDDLE CHILD INGERSOLL 3014 The 3014 also had a bit in common with the 3010/3012, it was powered by the single-cylinder 14 horsepower Kohler "Magnum" early on and was also switched to the new Briggs & Stratton "Vanguard" V-Twin cylinder 14 horsepower along the way. The 3014 lasted a good bit longer, though longer than the 3010/3012 but was eventually dropped from production as the higher horsepower models were selling faster and it was not making sense to inventory all the different horsepower engines. The 3014 was recommended to be used with 38-inch and 44-inch mower decks. The 38-inch snow blower and 44-inch plow blade were happy combinations. GARDEN TRACTORS START HERE! INGERSOLL 3016 The 3016 was the holdout and eventually became the lowest horsepower garden tractor Ingersoll offered and we feel this was a good move. 16 horsepower is really the lowest a garden tractor should be rated. Many of those still buying the Case Ingersoll machines were using them for much more than just mowing grass. And whether the buyers were gardeners, homeowners, institutions, municipalities, farms, or commercial users, their jobs required the bigger attachments offered to save time and get the job done as efficiency was now the name of the game for profit and bragging rights in the neighborhood or field! The 3016 was originally offered with the updated powerful Onan "Performer" P216 2 cylinder 16 horsepower Industrial engine power plant. This engine produces plenty of power to make stuff happen! Eventually, the US EPA would put an end to a dynasty of the big powerful valve in head opposing cylinder Onan engines. And The 16 horsepower V-Twin Briggs & Stratton Vanguard would be used in place. Though both 16 horsepower the Briggs a great engine in its own right was no Onan and did not make the low-end power the Beefy Onan's did. But the Vanguards used less fuel doing the light-duty tasks. For heavy tasks, it could be said they used more fuel as they worked harder to get the jobs done. The 4016 could be fitted to run 44, 48, and 60-inch mower decks, the 38 or 48 Snow Castors, the heavy-duty 44 or massive 54-inch utility dozer blades, and any other attachments that were available from Case Ingersoll. For very heavy work, the 16-horsepower machines are the minimum one wants in our opinion. BIG DOG OF THE LOW PRO'S... KIND OF INGERSOLL 3018 The 3018 was a great model and very versatile! Like the others early on it was powered by the Big 48 cubic inch Onan's and later the 34 cubic inch Vanguards were used both being 18 horsepower. But as the saying goes for pure power there is no replacement for displacement. That said though the Onan's took more fuel to feed those bigger combustion chambers. The 3018 could take any of the attachments available and handle them, all very well and even being a low-profile small tire machine they could work side by side with the Big Wheel models 90 percent of the time. For many, this was the best of both worlds you have the big power like many of the Big Wheel models but have it in a more compact package that sat lower to the ground if that was what you were looking for. WERE THEY ACTUALLY PRODUCED?? INGERSOLL 3020 Well, I guess technically the 3020 was the true "Big Dog of the small wheel low pros. With its big powerful 2 cylinders 20 horsepower Onan, the same engine as the 18 horsepower Performer Onan with just a different cam and bigger specked carb. BUT, there are so few of these out there that many have never even seen them! They only came with Onan's and were the same tractor always as the 3018 but with a 20-horse engine. We would guess there was 1 of these in at least every 100 of the other models that's how rare they were. And at some point, most of those looking for the real high Horsepower machines were also looking for bigger machines as well for those bigger tasks and would opt for the big wheel series machines.

- All Tractor Models | Case Ingersoll Tract
Some of these models were the 130, 155, 180, 190, 195 100's Series Home Owners The later 100 series like the 108, 110,112,114, and 116 were built to compete with the cheaper priced and built competition of Case and Ingersoll. These tractors were more lawn and yard tractors than garden tractors. They were built right and of good quality, as good or better than most in the class of lawnmowers and yard tractors. They were also much cheaper price than their big brothers and allowed a different customer base to be able to purchase a quality Case Ingersoll product to do basic lawn mowing and snow removal. Here at Case Ingersoll Tractors Northeast we do very little with this product line and concentrate on the bigger heavy-duty models. 200 Model Series The 200 series are the Low Profile Case Ingersoll models. For more individual model info and specifics scroll down below 400 Model Series The iconic Case-Ingersoll 400 Big Wheel (BW) Series. The large tires also let the BW series have great ground clearance to excel in the garden or woods doing heavy work. The large rear tires also allowed you to add roughly 80 to 100 lbs PER tire of liquid weight into the tire tubes as they hold around 10 gallons each. # point hitches can be added to any Case Ingersoll Garden Tractor model and are interchangeable and under an hour to install. As with all the Case Ingersoll models they offered a much, much bigger and more capable hydraulic pump than any competitors in the same class as well as multiple classes above them, and most compacts and subcompacts don't even have hydraulic pumps with the size, specs, and capabilities of Case Ingersoll machines. Most Case Ingersoll machines had hydraulic pumps that were 8.5 to nearly 12 GPM gallons per minute and with PSI pressures of 2000 to nearly 3000 pounds per square inch! Ask your new tractor salesman for the specs and you may realize spending that 10,20, or $30,000 dollars may not be the best choice! . 3000 Model Series The 3000 Series replaced the 200 series and the 4000 replaced the 400 series. The major change made in the new 4-digit machines was the engine placement. The spinning of the engine placement also changed the direction that the front PTO belt pulley would spin therefore the mower decks became right-hand discharge were three digits were left discharge. Continue on to the 4000 models to see more changes gained with the four digits models. Power Steering Models The Power steering models shared all the same features as their counterpart 3000 and 4000 series tractors. But they had a strong power steering system, and a larger hydraulic pump, and were all Onan powered until the last 4000 series made with the Big Block 21 and 23 horsepower Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engines. 4000 Model Series Many of the changes mentioned in the 3000 series description were made to the 4000 too. Also, the Hydraulic rear PTO for powering leaf vacs/baggers/roto tillers/chippers/brush mowers etc now had the option to be concealed under the seat and came with factory quick connects for the hydraulics. As was an optional lower geared high range rear end that was used standard only on the loader models. These machines were and still are considered some of the most capable best built machines in their class and a class or two bigger! There were only a true handful of competitor models that could come close to the quality and performance of these machines. 3021/4021-4023/4200 GT Models These "GT" series black frame models were the last models produced by Ingersoll and were made in Maine USA. They shared very many things with the 4000/4100 series. But some major differences were foot controls for direction and speed on the 4200 models and bigger Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engines used in 21 and 23-horsepower models. 3100/4100 Model Series All hydraulic models (AH) 3100/4100 series machines were very similar to their counterpart 3000 and 4000 models but with really 1 major difference. They had a very large hydraulic pump. All the attachments were hydro-powered, with no belts. Mower decks, snow blowers, etc were hydro-powered, and the normally hydraulic-powered attachments offered for other models were out-fitted with different motors, gearing, and pulleys to be offered and take advantage of the bigger 2 dual piggyback style hydraulic pump used on the AH models. 6000 Model Series 6000 series loaders and backhoes replaced the 648 loaders and backhoes. With the specs of Case Ingersoll loaders they and we have to ask "John Deere, Kubota, Massey who?" 600's Model Series The true mini-construction machines! One is the very strong rear end that speaks of its durability and capabilities as the stand rear used in both the garden and loader series! The 646 boasted a 16 horsepower twin-cylinder Onan most were a cast Iron bore CCK model. The 644 and 648 were replaced by the sought-after 648 18-horsepower Onan under the hood. Lifting is rated at 650lbs at full height, though they have been known to lift much more with proper counterweight (but not advised to vary from OEM recommendations) breaking out a force of almost 1500 lbs! 7000 Model Series The dreamed-about 7020 was a four-wheel drive version of the 6018/6020. The 7020 had a hydraulic-powered front drive axle to take your loader or backhoe to places where many can not go. Soft ground, muddy ground, sand, snow, steeper hills, etc. The capabilities and badass look of the 7020 make it a favorite of anyone who sees and or used them!

- When You First Get Your Tractor Home | Case Ingersoll Tractors
WHEN YOU FIRST GET YOUR TRACTOR HOME This section is for you new tractor owners and specifically new Case Ingersoll owners, BUT can be very helpful as many of the things can be used also on all other brands and models of garden tractors. This is mostly for tractors you do NOT know the history, what work or maintenance was done recently etc. But there are some things everyone should do when first bringing their new to them machine home FIRST TIME BRINGING MACHINE HOME CHECK LIST Some things you really should do when bringing any machine home for the first time if you are not aware of when the last time, or if these things have ever been done. Change Engine Oil Make sure you use the correct high-quality engine oil. Many 15-40 Diesel or 20-50 Racing oils are good choices in many climates. In the cold let the machine warm up for at least 5 mins. 5-40, and 15-40 diesel oils are great choices as are 5-50, 20-50, 15-40 and 15-50 synthetic or conventional Racing oils with high Zinc. We only use 15-50 synthetic or 20-50 synthetic racing oil in Briggs Vanguard engines. Kohlers and Onans we use all of the above options. Choose best oil for the average temp the engine STARTS in, not runs in also not your areas average temp. Example if stored inside, use the inside temp where its starts. If it get 0 degrees where you are, but you never START it when it is 0, but most times you start it outside when its 28 out and snowing then 28 is the temp range to use when selecting oil.. Synthetic oils are better in very cold and with very hot engine temps. . Synthetic oil is also a great choice and WATCH VIDEO HERE FOR MORE INFO ON OIL AND CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL. CHANGE THE HYDRAULIC OIL It is very important to have the correct oil in the hydraulic system of these machines and that the oil is clean! MOTOR OIL IS what is used in the hydraulic system of ALL Case Ingersoll Tractors. Typical hydraulic/hydraulic trans oil etc are NOT to be used! We recommend 15-40 diesel oils, 20-50, 15-50 oil. Synthetics are better in very cold and very hot temps so 5-40 diesel engine oil is a good choice in extremely hot and cold climates too. As is 5-50 racing oil. If using 15-40, 15-50 or 20-50 allow more time for warm-up in the very cold as these oils perform great but are very thick when cold and need to get up to temp before operating. Be sure to only use OEM or the only non-OEM high-quality Wix filter we have found spec'd to OEM numbers on these machines available in our store. There are many places selling other filters and using other non-OEM filters on these machines and they are incorrect specs and can cause damage and issues. The black non-Case Ingersoll filters being sold are NOT to spec, they may be good quality filters for their original use but are not a good choice here for the hydraulics. You only have to change the hydro fluid every 200 to 500 hours! To save $10 once every 5 or 10 years is foolish as to the hundreds or thousands it can cost you by using the wrong filter. FOR LOTS MORE INFO ON THE OIL AND HOW TO CHANGE THE HYDRO FLUID ON CASE INGERSOLL WATCH THE VIDEO HERE CHECK BRAKE OPERATION AND CONDITION Make sure your brakes work, if not figure out why. Is it an adjustment? Lack of brake lining material? Linkage issues? The brakes should lock the rear wheels right up when applied fully and bring the travel lever into neutral on the dash at the same time to halt all movement. FULL TUNE UP ON ENGINE We highly recommend doing a full tune-up on the engine before putting the machine into service. This way you can get a good assessment of how it is truly running and if it has bigger issues than simple tune-up parts. It also can prevent engine damage by making sure your fluids and filters are clean and full. That your spark plugs are new and correct and that the ignition system is functioning correctly. It also will make sure you get the most power and the best fuel efficiency and burn as clean as it can for you guys concerned about keeping things green. We have full tune-up kits available for each engine model where we did the leg work putting together all the things you need with quality parts into one simple and complete kit. We use and tested these kits you can purchase them at our store here . Also, watch the videos below for each specific make and model engine you have. YouTube Play List Engin Tune Up Videos DECARBON & ADJUST ENGINE VALVES We highly recommend doing a full de-carbon and adjusting the engine valves before putting the machine into service. This is very important and can save the engine from catastrophic engine failure as well as make it run much, much better overall. This intimidates many but really is pretty straightforward and easy and not very costly. We sell the full master tune-up kits that include the gaskets needed to do this and have videos linked below on how to do this task. It is possible and fairly common that excessive carbon buildup inside the engine can blow an engine. As the carbon builds up eventually the piston makes contact with the head and or valves and very bad, expensive things happen. Also, valves that are out of adjustment will cause all kinds of performance, running, and engine issues. 85% of the machines we deal with have the valves out of adjustment and in roughly 50% of them, the engines run significantly better after de-carbon and valve adjustment. Also, watch the videos below for each specific make and model engine you have. Click to get to our YouTube tune-up playlist CHECK TIRE CONDITION AND PRESSURE Yes, a very simple thing but often overlooked. Besides the obvious reasons for dealing with leaking or near future leaking aggravation as far as condition goes. Correct tire pressure is important in lawn and garden tractors for 2 main reasons. Traction is one, under, and fully inflated tire pressure effect traction poorly. Most times depending on load and tire itself running tire PSI at 1/2 to 3/4 max PSI rating is ideal for most situations. The other major factor with inflation is the quality of mower cut and snow removal. If your tires are not inflated from left to right equally your mower deck will cut unevenly and or poorly as will your snow plow/blower will not perform the best and can wear the plow or blower cutting edges unevenly. CHECK OVER ELECTRICAL & WIRING Check for obvious wire or electrical component damage. Broken wires, spliced wires, taped wires, chewed-on wires, etc. These all should be addressed sooner than later you do not want your new machine to burn up before you get a chance to use and play with it. CHECK OVER HYDRAULIC HOSES & BELTS CONDITION Check for obvious damages, wear, rub marks, etc. Make sure connections are tight. Also, you will want to make sure your machine has hydraulic fittings and NOT pipe fittings. Replace hoses and fittings if any major wear or damage is present. Make sure belts look in good condition with no wear spots, cracks, brakes etc. CHECK FOR BELT PTO ADJUSTMENT AND OPERATION Check the front PTO adjustment space and operation if an attachment is present. Watch the video below for quick field adjustment or the full rebuild video for a better understanding of the PTO. HERE CHANGE REAR END OIL Make sure you use the correct high-quality oil. This is a very easy job to do and well worth the small cost. You can use the same 15-40 Diesel or 20-50, etc engine oils you use in your engine or hydros to keep it simple or you can use true "gear oil" of 75, 80, 90 up to 140 weight. Standard or synthetic oils are fine. We fill all rears with roughly 3 quarts of oil. Depending on the model and year the manual shows different amounts. We feel that using 3 quarts is best. It helps with condensation and moisture dilution/contamination, corrosion issues, and cooling and keeps all the parts lubed and covered for sure. The different amounts listed in the manuals vary and our feeling is the rear ends themselves between years and models do not vary much at all, just maybe the work they are doing. Watch the video on changing the rear-end fluid on Case Ingersolls here.
- 3100/4100 All Hydraulic Series | Case Ingersoll Tractors Northeast | Connecticut
ALL HYDRAULIC (AH) 3100-4100 SERIES INGERSOLL 3118 ALL HYDRAULIC The 3118 was the small wheel AH model that was powered by the Onan Performer P218 engine just like the 3018 and 4018 models. All the AH 3100/4100 series machines used the same bigger Hydraulic pump at nearly 12 Gallons Per Minute and getting close to 3000 PSI. These machines had a tandem pump with one section providing hydraulic power for just the power steering and the other pump servicing the drive system as well as the lift and attachment power system through the hydraulic PTO. INGERSOLL 4116 ALL HYDRAULIC Not many 4116 were made but they were offered for roughly a year as to where the other AH models were sold for 2 to 3 years. But they were discontinued as the market did not seem to support the prices. With the bigger pumps and hydraulic-powered attachments, the cost over a 3000/4000 series tractor was significantly more. The 4116 was powered by a P216 16-horsepower engine. The 16 was getting lower on the HP wars of the day and was borderline under powered for the larger pumps on the AH models and was not made for long. INGERSOLL 4118 ALL HYDRAULIC The 4118 has an Onan P218 engine under the hood. The AH models had 48 or 60-inch hydraulic power mower deck options and 48-inch hydraulic driven snow blowers. The 4118 were far more popular than the 4416 and performed better. INGERSOLL 4120 ALL HYDRAULIC The 4120 was pushed as the flagship machine while it was being offered. With the big Onan 20-horse P220 and the Big hydraulic pump, it is a force to be reckoned with. It has noticeably more power than other models and those other models are beasts in their own right. The AH tractors could power two hydraulic attachments at once. They often powered the hydraulic deck and the hydra vac blower/vac unit. This is our personal 4120 we redid in the summer of 2022 and we use it often as one of our main workhorses and really love it. But we have the skills and parts to keep these AH machines alive s stated they are not the best choice for everyone but are for some!. INGERSOLL 3118-D DIESEL ALL HYDRAULIC The rear and elusive Diesel-powered AH models. Though only a handful were made they are highly sought after by collectors and users alike. They had a 3-cylinder 18-horsepower respected Perkins engine. The frame had length added to the front so the engine and radiator could fit. So they are long hood machines. The 3118 D was the small-wheel diesel option machine. INGERSOLL 4118-D DIESEL ALL HYDRAULIC Maybe the holy grail for some is to get their hands on the Big wheel diesel AH model the 4118-D. They have a mean all-business look to them with the long hood, big wheels, and set back axle they just look like they do not want to be parked, but out working. This is our very low owner very, very well kept 4118D. We were very happy to add this gem to our collection.

- 4000 Series | Case Ingersoll Tract
Meet The Iconic 4000 Big Wheel Fleet Mr. POPULAR INGERSOLL 4016 The Ingersoll 4016 is arguably the most popular 4000 Series machine. It is the lowest horsepower model in the 4000 series. Though a 4014 with a single cylinder Kohler Magnum made a brief appearance. The 4016 was the lowest priced 4000 so that played a big part in its popularity as it may have fit in more budgets of buyers who "HAD TO HAVE a big wheel model no matter what they had to do to find the funds. Plenty capable of any task or attachments Case Ingersoll or others brands made, the 4016 could get the job done. Like the 3000 models, the early 4000s had the big Onans in them, to begin with, and then switched to the Briggs Vanguards and the 4016 was no different as both its Onan and Briggs power plants were 16 horsepower respectably. The 4016 is an excellent choice for mowing large yards and home snow removal duties as it's a great all-around machine. THE MIDDLE CHILD INGERSOLL 4018 The Ingersoll 4018 was the spitting image of its little brother the 4016 but with 2 horsepower more, it also saw both the Onan and Briggs take over under its hood. Being the "middle child it was often overlooked or passed by as it was out of the price range for some and for those with deeper pockets they wanted the big brother 4020. The 4018 was no slouch though and excelled with the extra power when it came to being put into hard work and was not bothered being pushed to do harder tasks such as massive snow removal, spreading gravel with a 54-inch blade, or mowing a field that has not been touched in months! THE FOREMAN OF GARDEN TRACTORS 4020 Big wheels and Big power! The 4020 was what many of the competition only dreamed of being able to hold a candle to. The 4020 was powered only by the torque monster, a massive 48 cubic inch, 2-cylinder opposing twin cylinder ONAN Performer P220, 20 horsepower engine. There was not much that the 4020 could not do and that's the truth, it was capable of work that tractors in a class or 2 above were doing. The 4020 never said "NO". If you wanted a machine that would make short time out of big jobs and put a smile on the operator's face then the 4020 and its variants were the top choices that never let down. Though yes only 4 horsepower more than the 4016 which equated to 25% more power!
