Extreme Duty Upgrade Front Axle Pin (Weld On Kit) Replces and upgrades C22568 , C43895, C12003 , C22278
This is our WELD on axle pin kit that we designed. It has all the same benefits as our custom heavy-duty axle pin upgrade kit plus it gives you 3 times the load-bearing surface, gives you now 3 points to grease and it also allows you to recenter your axle on severely worn-out machines, it can also correct worn out or oblong holes in the axle plate bracket that is attached to your frame, that sandwiches the axle. These holes commonly get worn out, especially if the factory axle pin has been used for a long time and is continually used. By simply welding the two provided collar pieces to the front and back of the axle bracket you can now get all these benefits plus the heavy-duty pin and the ability to clamp all the play out of your axle. Extremely fast and simple to install. Thinner collar goes on rear axle support plate (engine side).
All hardware included is grade 8. You also get two weld-on collars WITH rease fittings, one long heavy-duty axle pin, two very large 1/4 inch thick clamping washers, two flat washers, one lock washer, one lock nut, and one bolt to complete the installation. Installation is very simple and fast.
AXLES SHOULD HAVE ZERO FORE AND AFT MOVEMENT AS WELL AS ZERO SIDE-TO-SIDE MOVEMENT AND NO FRONT OR BACK ROLL. The only movement should be pivoting on the pin for side hill operation or on uneven terrain.
This pin fits ALL 200 series tractors, 400 series tractors, 3000 series tractors, and 4000 series tractors. The pin does NOT fit any loaders. CLICK HERE is our Custome Loader PIN
INSTALL NOTE- The Thinner collar goes to the rear axle bracket facing engine. The reason it is shorter is on repowers, worn machines or aftermarket PTOs the clearance to belts on snow blowers can be close. Also think about the best place for the grease fittings for you to get at BEFORE welding.
NOTE: Collars do not need to be fully welded or welded at all if you do not want to. They simply need three or four small welds each to center and hold them in place. The more of the joint you do weld will help retain more grease. Refer to our axle pin video for more information.
SHOP TIP: We now install grease fittings on the collars to be welded, this will give you three greaseable points across the whole axle pin.
NOTE: Snow Blower Users- Belt Clearance. On some models/years there may be slight rubbing of the belt. FIRST check motor mounts and make sure engine is all the way BACK and TIGHT. If your snow blower "mule drive" bushings are damaged, bracket is worn, and or where it mounts on tractor itself is worn or you do not have the correct belt, spring and or pulleys there is a chance there may be slight rubbing of the belt. Also with repowers this is "potentially" a small issue. We recommend mounting blower to make sure the belt clears before welding collars. If the belt rubs you can do a few things, Check motor mounts, sometimes just a thinner rear washer is all it takes, you can remove a little metal from collar, Use correct belts springs and pulleys and replace worn parts. Also if you desire you can remove some material from pin and collars in extreme cases. You can do 1 of these or a combination of these solutions. This again is a rare occasion. If your blower and tractor are in great shape and correct parts then this has yet to be a issue. UPDATE We have preemptively made the rear collar slightly thinner and should eliminate clearance issues. As this was not a problem we did see the possible potential mainly on repowers and if someone welded a pin before checking clearances it could have been a pain to correct after the fact.
