This is a high-quality aftermarket (It is NOT made in China)  "Delco style" starter generator used on many, many Kohler-equipped machines and brands. This quality option is much more affordable than spending $350 to $550 on other aftermarket and OEM options. We use this product at our own shop. It fits many brands of machines, Including Case Ingersoll Kohler powered 210, 220, 222, 224, 444, 644, 155,195 WITH A STARTER GENERATOR THAT IS ON THE SIDE OF THE MOTOR AND USES A BELT TO START THE ENGINE. NOT A DIRECT DRIVE STARTER FOUND ON LATER MODELS.  Used on many Kohler K241, K301, K321, K341, K361 as well as other brand engines. If you have a Case Ingersoll modele listed this, is the starter gen you need. 
 
OPTION- To a new replacement voltage regulator we HIGHLY recommend replacing your voltage regulator at the same time to protect your new exspensive starter generator and electrical syestem.

CHECK ROTATION OF YOU STARTER GENERATOR THIS ONE TURNS CLOCKWISE WHEN VIEWED FROM THE FRONT PULLEY ON STARTER/GEN. 
 
This is a very easy and fast install, Pay attention to where your wires were hooked up onyour old starter as to put them on the new one in the correct posts. You have to remove and swap your old pulley as well. There is a new spacer and nut included, check packageing. The spacer goes under the pulley on most applications.

We offer a option and highly recommend changing your Solenoid at this time when doing the starter gen.
We offer a option and reccomend changing your key switch at this time, we often see they key switches fail realativly right around the same time starter generators do. The last thing you want is a faulty key switch or solenoid failing stuck sending starting current to your generator where you can't stop it.
We offer an option and highly reccomend our inline fuse kit option. You can use this either and/or in both the following set ups, in the wire feeding the key switch power as there shouls always be one here on all tractors. You can also add one on the signal line feeding voltage to the solenoid to trigger starter/generator.
